Here are some of the things that the St. Anthony Lions do::
Sponsor a petting zoo for children and their parents
Offer pop toss and bean bag toss games for the teens and pre-teens
Gather food and money for the NE Food Shelf during the parade
Chandler Place Bingo Night: A monthly event of entertainment for the residents with small prizes for winners and treats for all!
Cocoa with the Clauses: An annual event held at the community center for our young residents of the city to come and visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, talk about the holiday and have cookies and cocoa.
City Beautification: The Lions plant and maintain the gardens on the corner of Stinson and 37th Avenue, bordering our city and Columbia Heights.
Food Shelf: We provide cash and food contributions to the NE Food Shelf to support our neighbors in need.
Education: Annually, the Lions provide all third grade and fifth grade students respectively, with dictionaries and thesaurus to improve their vocabulary and understanding of the language..
Holiday Dinner: A dinner prepared and served by the Lions for all members of “Walker on Kenzie” as our gift during the holiday season.
MN Lions Eye Bank: Our club donates each year to help fund research into curing blindness and macular degeneration.
International Lions : The annual membership is used efficiently to help prevent blindness in third world countries(river blindness), fund rescue efforts for catastrophic events, and help people in need.
